CASE BASSE DI GIANFRANCO SOLDERA TOSCANA SANGIOVESE IGT 2014

Since 2013, with the 2006 vintage, the wine has been labelled with a different designation, becoming Toscana IGT instead of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.

This was a commercial decision dictated by the awareness of the specific identity and unique nature of Soldera wine, widely recognized by our clients, deriving from the typicity of the terroir, vine growing, winemaking and ageing.

The wine is accompanied by a tech sheet. This is a scientific report drawn up by Prof. Massimo Vincenzini (Department of Microbiology of Florence University) which summarizes the main information about the history of the wine, including the meteorological features of the vintage and the development of natural alcoholic fermentation. The sheet is the result of studies in progress at Case Basse and summarizes the main facts.

The wine presents a vivid garnet red color and is characterized by a high spherical perception and persistency. It possesses a noticeable aroma intensity, mainly due to fruity and floral aroma. Astringency and structure are quite well perceived.
